Grown slow, picked ripe
Cotton grows for months under the sun and is picked only when the bolls burst open, soft as fresh snow. Some days it's hard not to jump in.
Woven the old way from six layers of soft cotton gauze. Cosy in winter, softer with every wash.
Muslin has been woven for centuries. Ours still follows the same 7 steps, from a cotton field to your bed.
Cotton grows for months under the sun and is picked only when the bolls burst open, soft as fresh snow. Some days it's hard not to jump in.
The raw cotton is cleaned of seeds and leaves, then carded: wire-covered drums comb the fibres into a soft, airy web that gathers in tall cans.
From the cans, the soft cotton is drawn straight into the spinning machine, which stretches it, twists it into a fine, gentle yarn and winds it onto bobbins.
Hundreds of bobbins are lined up on a tall rack, and their threads are laid side by side onto one big roller: the warp, the backbone of every blanket.
On the loom, 6 layers of open gauze are woven at the same time and joined at tiny points, so they breathe separately but move as one.
The fabric is washed and tumble-dried. The layers shrink and bloom into muslin's signature crinkle, and arrive already soft.
Every blanket is cut, hemmed and inspected by hand, then folded and sent on its way to your bed.
Six sheets of open cotton gauze, stacked and stitched as one. Light enough for October, warm enough for January.
Open-weave cotton gauze that gets softer and more crinkled with every wash.
Tiny pockets of air between them hold your warmth in winter and let heat escape in summer.
Fine lines of stitching hold the layers together, so they move as one, never bunch, and bloom into that signature crinkle.
The same soft gauze on the back, so it's just as lovely whichever way it lands.

“I bought this because I needed a light layer for the sofa. It feels comfortable without feeling bulky and it is light enough to move around with one hand.”
“Love this blanket! It is soft, warm, and so comfy! I loved the selection available. It arrived on time, as expected. I washed it, it became softer! It looks great on my bed. It is very well made, and I expect this will last many years. I highly recommend the muslin loom blankets!”

“I have had this blanket for 3 weeks now. When I opened the package the blanket was a gorgeous color but not as soft as I thought it was. The length and width was larger than I thought which is great. Washed it, dried it on low heat. It did get softer and has gotten softer everyday since.”
“I buy from this company again and again. They have THE best quality muslin through. The colours are beautiful!!”
“I absolutely love this blanket. Pros: I’m a big fan of cotton and more natural feeling fabrics and this does not have that fake feel some blankets have. It’s also surprisingly soft. Not fleece/plush blanket soft, the softness of a well loved t-shirt type soft. Cons: It’s not very aesthetically pleasing. It wrinkles easily and if you have cats, there will be snags. Neither of those things bother me, but if you’re someone who really cares how your bed looks, then it might not be ideal”
“I was unsure whether a lightweight blanket would feel warm enough, but this one is comfortable without being heavy. I use it on the changing area for feeding the baby. It is also easy to fold and put away when I do not need it. It is simple, comfortable and useful.”

That's the muslin at work. The layers are joined only at small points, so when the cotton is washed it puffs up into soft ripples. No ironing needed, ever.
